Halloween Workout :)

I really did debate doing my workout in my Superwoman costume today, but then I decided against it because then it would get super sweaty and gross and I wouldn't be able to wear it the rest of the day!! But I still worked out :)

So it's Halloween!! I dressed up this past weekend as well as today! I wore my costume all day today and there was like nobody else dressed up! How lame. oh well. The Quickie Workout

I didn't have much time to workout Friday, but I really didn't want to skip a day! so I went in for 30 minutes. I did some cardio, a few lifts, and some abs. I wanted to keep my weight-lifting at 3 times a week and didn't want to miss out on my abs again! I need to do those! Always! So here is my dubbed "quickie" workout!

Cardio:

The Second Weigh-In

Woo Woo! I weighed myself on Friday mid-afternoon! I was at 227!!!! yayy!!! Now that was a much bigger drop than I thought it would be, but hey I need to lose some of this weight! Blah! So that is 6 pounds gone from me! And the Bride did weigh in as well and was at 245! woo! So it was her first and my second weigh-in. I think we are on the right track! I can't wait until her wedding day! She's gonna look babe-a-licious!! 
So for my weigh in, I did weigh after I worked out, but I also weighed myself later on that night just to see if that was an accurate weight, and it was the same so I was ok with it! I am trying to lose 2 or 3 pounds a week but this week was at 4 pounds, so I am ok with that. I think my Bride lost extra weight these first 2 weeks because she was sick and not eating for a couple days, but we shall forgive her. Tomorrow is gonna be my "work off that greasy hangover food" day haha. I got to sleep in today, than god, so I finally got to sleep off my hangover from Saturday. I just hope I can hold down all my food today! That would be nice.
I also am spending today cleaning my apartment, it is such a mess. Mainly because I had people over doing their make-up and such for the Halloween madness this weekend! And I will probably be doing it again for Wednesday! Its gonna be awesome! I love Halloween! It is so much fun!!

The Weekend! Yay!!

Man, I am so glad for the weekend! I am dressing up for Halloween and went party-hard crazy! And i think I may have went a little too crazy Friday night...started a little throw-up party for myself once I got home. GROSS. And I was feelin it on Saturday too. Which is why I didn't eat anything except greasy foods! They help my hangovers haha! Well here are the weekend bits so far! I did workout on Friday, but it was an uber quicky workout! Oh well, at least I did something!

I'm Trying To Run From Zombies!!

So my lovely bride and I are going to do a 5k Zombie Run in December!! Ahh!!! I am very excited for it, and I actually want to be able to run the whole 5k! So I am slowly but surely making myself run on the evilness that is a treadmill! But it was actually not that bad yesterday. I am doing intervals to get up my running skills so I don't pass out and die or just trip on my clumsy feet! This makes it easier to get up to running the whole 5k. So I will do treadmill workouts twice a week from now on, maybe Mondays and Thursdays. This week will be my starting point, just the one for this week! unless I get up the nerve to run again today...buuuttt I doubt it haha! Anyhoodles, here is my lovely workout:

Thursdays Eatin

Sooo I started off with a good day, eating a nice healthy breakfast. And then off to class I went with my 2 large cups of coffee already empty and another one in my hand! And then I get to class, which starts at 9:30 and I don't get down until 4:30! I am seriously there all day. And middle of my first class, I realize shit. I forgot my lunch. UGH!! I thought I might make it through until 4:30 on my coffee! But but by 12:30 I was sooo hungry I ordered food. BLAH. Now since I ordered food, and the place I order from doesn't have its nutritional values, I just pick one that is already on MyFitnessPal and hope that it is close to what I actually ate. I had  mushroom swiss burger, and I think it was probably close to 800 cals, no you must know that It was all organic and home-made, so verrryyy different from the McDonalds one I picked from the list. Cuppycakes!!

So I made cupcakes last night and ended up eating a couple today...blah. BUT then I went into myfitnesspal and 'built my own recipe' and found out that each cuppycake only had 233 calories! Not that that isn't a lot, but let me tell you, its a lot less than I thought that they would be! So that's good to know! No that I found this little recipe builder on myfitnesspal I am going to start doing that with all my baking things, that way I know exactly what I am eating, calorie wise at least. I tried resisting the deliciousness of the cupcakes I create, but I was soo tempted! I couldn't help eating a few of them!
Tonight I had a girls night with my best friend, who I am also the Maid of Honor for in her wedding, which is in April, so I also have to lose weight for her wedding! We decided tonight would be a Chinese and movie night! I made us stir fry with broccoli, sugar snap peas, and carrots with chicken. Soooo good! We also made one of those super delicious rice-sides, but the Chinese-y flavored ones don't taste as good so we just went with the Spanish rice. Yummieess. And we watched Bridesmaids! She is getting married and has never seen it! She's crazy! As we watched it she almost died laughing!! It was fantastic! And I have left-overs for lunchies tomorrow. And we all know that left-over Chinese food is uber yummy! I can't wait to eat it tomorrow! :D Anyhoodles, here is my foods for the day!

MOH Ab Workouts

Ok, so since I do have access to an athletic trainer-because he used to be my athletic trainer- I also get access to some awesome, yet super quick, ab routines. All of them work your abs like crazy. I can promise you that. But none of them take more than 10 minutes (unless you take long breaks between sets). But I do mine fairly quickly as that is how I was instructed to do them! So I plan on doing one routine from this list at a time and then go back through them again. And I only have one more routine to do before I start over! It took awhile to get through these because I don't do abs everyday. I am, however, going to start doing some more abs; so instead of just doing abs 3 times a week, I will be doing them on the weekends too! I got to get my abs strong again. It really helps me lose weight when I have more muscle mass! But anyways, I am going to write out all of my ab workouts here so that when I do one, I don't have to write it out everyday, but just link you back to a different post! It will make my typing fingers much happier :)
Anyhoodles, I hope everyone is doing awesomely-fantastical! I am working on making a brand new blog layout that relates more to my theme :) I have it all planned out in my head, it is just getting it out onto photoshop! I need to find some awesome brushes. meh. Oh well. I'll get it figured out soon!

Back to Another Tuesday

I reeeeaalllyyyy wish that it was Friday! Or even Thursday for that matter!! I am super exhausted! I can't even tell you! Working until 1 am and getting up at 7 two days in a row is not fun! I want to go to bed! Too bad I promised to bring cupcakes to my friend tomorrow for covering my shift when my boyfriend came to town! Blah! Now I get to work until 10 but go home and make cupcakes that I can't eat!! Except I love baking, so it will probably take some stress off for me :) But I did eat really well today! Except for ordering dinner at work tonight. BUT instead of fries and a regular burger, I got a elk burger (which has les fat) and pita and hummus! And it is all organic and home-made from the place I order from, so I don't feel bad about it :)

Monday- A New Week

So just so everyone knows, The Bride has been ill this week, she had to go to the hospital today to get tested for meningitis!! AHH!! So that is why she hasn't been doing her part for the blog lately. But I will get her back on track as soon as she is better!! I promise! Plus if I don't, then she won't be very happy with her MOH on her wedding day!! We gotta get her in shape!!
Ok so Monday was awesome. I got a nice long workout in and was under my calorie goal! Woo Woo! Also, I want to let everyone know my actual goal is 1500, I just keep myfitnesspal at 1200 because I then I feel worse about eating the bad foods! Haha! I think I'm clever...but I'm really not. Blah! Sunday Funday

Alrighty. I had an uber busy Sunday! I had to finish up a project for school, work at one job, then go straight to work all night at my other job. Ugh! So I only had "fast food" today. But I tried...except at work..when I was tempted to eat chicken fingers. Lame. oh well. :( Life goes on. I will do better Monday.
My weigh-ins are going to be on Thursdays now. I want to get them in then so that if I eat bad on the weekends (which I tend to do a lot) I can have 3 days to work that gross food off!

Saturday!

So I do know that it is only 8, but I am so not eating anymore today...that is unless I get hungries!! =D but here is what I have so far!

Finally Friday!!! (My first weigh in)

Friday Friday Friday!!!!! =D I love Fridays!! I don't have to go to class, and I do my weigh ins! Ahh!! It was scary getting on that scale, but then I looked at it, and I lost 2 pounds! YAY! That is the way you are supposed to lose weight, and that is exactly how I want to do it!
Losing weight doesn't happen fast, and if it does-then you are not doing it the healthy way. The healthy and natural way to lose weight puts your weight loss at 1 to 2 pounds a week. If you are losing much more than that then you are losing too fast and your body will not keep the weight off in the long run. So please lose weight the correct way! I have tried it other ways, and I promise you, yes you will lose the weight quicker, but then it will come back. And that part sucks- A LOT!

Thursday's Cardio/Arm Day

So I decided to try to do some running today...bad plan. I can't even run a mile without dying. Wow. It is just not my thing. But I did run...one mile...how sad :( So since I didn't run very far I decided to do some Step-Mill cardio. It was hard! I sweat like a dude on a ranch in the middle of a Texas summer.....so gross. Oh well. I gotta look nasty and sweaty if I'm going to look good! :D
Anyhoodles, here is my workout:

Intervals, 50 steps/minute then 70 steps/minute

Lat Pull Down: 10-8-6
Lat Pushdown Thingy: 2x10
Row Machine: 2x5 (heavy)
Rear Delt: 1x15
Chest Fly: 1x15
 
Now Don't make fun of my lat-pushdown-thingy...I just can't remember the name of the machine I was using! Ah! But it is the one where you sit down with your arms above your head and put your elbows on some pads and your hands lightly grip some bars, and you push down with your elbows! It works your back muscles, your lats, and your abs. Its a hard machine as long as you do it right!

I kind of ate like crap yesterday! :( I worked a catering event for work and we had all sort of delicious food that I couldn't help but eat some!! I ate mini cheesecakes-which were heavenly, a filet mignon sandwhich, and then to top it all off I went out with my co-workers, got a little tipsy-pants and ate taco bell on my way home! UGH DRUNK CRAVINGS ARE THE DEVIL! hahaha, but anyways, I still am not eating too many calories...so I think I will be ok :)

The Bride's Joining In!

The Bride has started joining me now! She has been away doin some work so she wasn't able to start with me. But now she has! Yay for the bride! So we do live like a bajillion miles apart so all of our communicating is through phone and email! She does her MyFitnessPal on her lovely iphone so it is a little different from mine. So now you know how to tell our meal plans apart!! Now the Bride's day looks pretty good to me, she did a nice job stickin' to it! I on the other hand...didnt pack lunch or dinner today...and decided to eat cheap rather than healthy. DUMB DECISION! I will start spending more and eating better when I go out to eat...I feel like a heavy greasy grease monkey ball now. BAH!

Starting A New Week

So it is the beginning of week 2 for us! And I know I did well last week, not so great on Saturday and Sunday, but hey, we all screw up sometimes! Nobody is perfect, and just because I ate a pint of ice cream, that doesn't mean I'm giving up. If I gave up just because of that I would never reach my goals. I am only human. But I can do better this week, and the week after that and the week after that. I will not give up this time. I will reach my goals. This is going to happen. I want to be able to run and jump on my boyfriend next time I see him and him to actually be able to hold me up without a huge struggle! I want my sister to be her goal weight and look her best on her wedding day! We are encouraging each other, and this will happen!

I know its Monday and I'll be posting another workout later, but here is the one from Friday. It was hard! I kicked some ass though :) I'm starting to do the stair master, and not the one that goes up and down on imaginary steps, but the one that rotates like a treadmill with real stairs....and I'm doing this because I want to eventually get the nerve up to run the stadium. Woof. I mean, I've done the whole stadium before -back when I was an athlete and in shape- in under 30 minutes. Now I am just trying to get up the nerve to run the small side! Haha I am dumb.

Ending Week One

It's finally Friday!! Woo!! And that means my wonderful boyfriend is coming into town tonight!!! And nothin can ruin my day now! Friday is the best day for me, I have no school and I didn't have to go into work this morning, so I got to sleep in a little later before my workout! Which was a good one, let me tell you. Ooo I am super sore.
Anyhoodles, I made cookies today since my boyfriend is coming, and I ate some...and by some I mea a lot. Cookies (especially mine) are sooo good. I bake a lot, like a lot a lot, and then I eat it. Ughh why do I have to bake sooo much!! Its hard not to eat my own treats!

After the Weekend...

So my wonderful fantastic boyfriend came into town today!! He drove 10 hours to spend only 40 wonderful hours with me :) Sooo my weekend wasn't the best...eating wise. I did get in some lovely exercise though ;) hahaha. Saturday was a home football game and we decided to go tailgate....and I got a little bit tipsy-pants and ate a million hot dogs. Blah!! And then on Sunday, my boyfriend left, I just was sad and lonely and ate my feelings at night...with Ben & Jerry. I am an emotional eater.....thats one reason I have a hard time losing weight. I am also a "eat when I'm bored" eater, meaning I have nothing to do so I make snacks and eat them. I need to stop that!!! Ugh!!!
Anyways, sorry I didn't post all weekend! I promise I'm still doin this! And I did work out Friday, so I will get on that post :) And I'm still sore from it!! So much soreness! I forgot what it was like to be sore! haha. Ok anyways, here is Saturday and Sunday failure eating days! :(

So today I decided to work out my arms instead of my legs at the lovely gym today. It has been awhile and my arms are already so sore! But it is going to be worth it! One day I will be posting on here about how I got to where I am, not about how I am getting there! But for now, it is just the journey, and I am glad to share it with you guys!

Ok. Its only Day 4...but its sooo hard to stick to dieting! Ughhh Im trying, but my flippin sweet tooth!!! Blahh!!! So I was good all day, until my midnight snack craving kicked in after work today. Soooo I tried to be kind of better by using 100 calorie popcorn and marshmallows! But then since my awesome boyfriend is coming into town tomorrow (wooo!!!!) I bought things to make him some delicious cookies, and I bought Reese's Pieces to go in them....and I snacked on some...woof. But they're SOOO good!!!

Day 3 Eats

I did much better today, I think. I didn't get a work out in so I made sure to keep my intake lower. I tried to keep my protein high and my carbs low, but I was STILL over my carbs! Ugh. I wish cereal had no carbs in it! haha, it doesn't hurt to wish :p

MOH Carb Overload :(

So I kind of gave in to my sweet tooth yesterday :( blah. I am so bad at eating sweets. I swear I am like the dessert eating champion. Ughhh. I can't help it! Everything with sugar is just so damn good! But I only was over my calories for the day by 290...probably because I replaced dinner with dessert...not a good plan. BLAH! Carb Overload.. Goal for the next week, STOP EATING SO MUCH CARBS!!!!

So feel free to get your a** kicked here too. Tuesdays will definately be my leg day! And all of those weight lifting moves work your tush, so mine will be nice and sore tomorrow! Also just so everyone knows, I do less repitions because I do heavy weights when I lift, you can change up the number of reps you do depending on if you lift heavy or even if you just do bodyweight. Either way works! But make sure you stretch out hella good afterwards guys! Its super important to stretch and drink lots of water after you workout to flush out the lactic acid so you don't die! :p

Day #1 Workouts

From the MOH I did a hard workout this morning, although I only did 20 minutes on the Cybex (like an elliptical) I did a very hard hills workout!! So basically heres what I did:

Cardio:

Cybex Program Workout Number 2
Level 7 
20 minutes

Abs:

Crunches 1x50
Alternating Pikes 1x25 each
Single Leg Glute Bridge 1x :30 sec each
Reach Thrus 1x25 each
V-sit Slide 1x1 minute

So it was my first day on the new 'program' and I think I did fairly well, although i did falter a little bit while I was working. Since I work at a greasy food place, its kind of hard not to eat their delicious food. But I just had a turkey sandwich....but had some french fries. Blah!! But I got in a hard work out this morning! SO that helped out with that french fry failure. And I was still under my calorie goal! Here's what I ate today!

I think I need to be wary of my carbs! Ah!! Soooo many carbs!!! I love my carbs way too much. Blah

The Start of A New Beginning
